Terrazzo is on a roll.
A hot ticket for flooring in the late 1960s and ‘70s, it’s trending again right now – on everything e from clothing to furniture.
Even wallpaper’s getting into the act. Like the patterns Graham & Brown’s created in collaboration with Hemingway Design. It comes in three colorways – blue, pink and green – and a scatter pattern with irregular shapes in gray, black and white tones.
Options abound. “You can go bold and add the Terrazzo Wallpaper to all four walls, or create a more subtle pop by installing it on the back of stairs, the ceiling or an accent wall,” says a Graham & Brown spokesperson.
Seams look flawless because the paper’s non-woven, and won’t shrink or expand over time. It also allows an installer to apply paste directly to the wall, not the paper. “The wallpaper can be hung straight into place straight from the roll, and peel off of the wall seamlessly if needed,” she says. “There’s no soak time and no pre-cutting table required.”
That paste can be purchased directly from Graham & Brown, ready to hang up to eight rolls. Its specially formulated adhesive creates the desirable consistency for each substrate, and it’s ready to use within three minutes. “It doesn’t contain PVA synthetic resin so removal is also easy when re-decorating.,” she says.
If walls have cracks and bumps, Graham & Brown recommends installing lining paper before hanging, for an even, smooth finish. “With its Paste The Wall application, Graham & Brown lining paper and wallpaper are applied quicker, cleaner, and are much easier to remove,” she says.
There’s even an augmented reality app to scope out how a room might look. “It’s a great way to virtually measure a particular space, visualize a chosen wallpaper style to scale on the walls, and determine how many rolls are needed prior to making a purchase,” she says.
