Background on the company?
The business owns and operates three factories that manufacture cast iron baths, brass fittings and china sanitary ware. Drummonds’ head office and warehouse is located in Surrey in the UK, with their flagship showroom in Chelsea, London and a boutique showroom in Notting Hill. In 2017, Drummonds’ opened its first U.S. showroom in the famed Architects and Designers building in New York City.

Who designed these?
Unless otherwise noted, all of the bathtubs, vanities and showers are designed by the Drummonds’ team. Many are based on Victorian and Art Deco designs that they’ve subtlety updated. Almost all of the products are named after rivers in Scotland as Mr. Drummond Shaw, the founder, is an avid fly-fisherman. Martin Brudnizki has designed a number of collections for Drummonds as well. He is well known in the UK as an architect and product designer.

Materials?
Made of solid brass legs and marble paneling, the Thames vanity combines the beauty of a hand-poured china clay basin with a finely detailed brass frame, faucets cast in the lost wax process and marble that has been cut and finished by hand.

Intent of the design?
Thames is an adaptation of Drummonds’ original Hebdern design. Featuring a shelf for additional storage, the Thames is both a beautiful and practical bathroom vanity. It is suitable for use with either single basin taps or basin mixer taps. The Thames is available as a double or single vanity basin unit with Arabescato, Atlantic Grey or Black Marquina Marble.
