Who are your clients here?
Faring is a progressive real estate firm that creates beautiful structures that engage and contribute to their surroundings. DM Development is a real estate development and investment firm that collaborates with architects and interior designers like us to create new homes that push the boundaries of design.
Your assignment?
We were tasked with designing the interiors for the amenity areas, model residences, and an off-site sales gallery.
The intent of your design?
The design intent was to create an elevated modernism using luxurious natural materials. We wanted to create a sanctuary for the residents.
Your inspiration?
We were inspired by California Modernism.
The furnishings?
In the amenity spaces, modern and a select few vintage pieces bring together simple forms and materials to create warm and welcoming spaces.
The fabrics?
We selected textiles intended to feel like a natural extension of not only the furniture piece itself, but also the surrounding finishes. A neutral palette of natural materials combined with the open layout of the space results a distinct yet versatile backdrop for inspired living. Warm woods, leathers, and plush fabrics add texture and dimension to each space – comfortable yet sophisticated.
How did the architecture influence the interiors?
The refined, mid-century modern aesthetic of the architecture influenced the interior design in its understated sophistication and attentiveness to craftsmanship and quality of the finishes.
